第二号爱人Wuzhou has quite a few snacks, and this particular sour fruit shop is quite well-known, reportedly holding some of the best local snack awards. We call it "salty and sour," and it does taste quite sour, but it's a little lacking in sweetness, leaving it with a rather astringent texture. The taste is acceptable, but not amazing.

17涵Following up on the various noodles and local dishes recommended by my sister in the previous post, Wuzhou's sweets and snacks are also very much to Cantonese tastes. The guiling jelly, a Wuzhou specialty, is a must-try. The herbal tea from Wubu Yijia is also perfect for the humid and hot Guangxi. Below are the desserts my sister brought me, all of which were personally delicious. [Desserts] Wufutang Guiling For this Wuzhou specialty, I highly recommend this place. It truly delivers on the traditional bitterness. It can be paired with taro paste (excellent, genuinely handmade), red beans, and coconut milk/condensed milk. Sweet tooths recommend using condensed milk to counteract the bitterness. The price is also half that of a certain coin, making it a truly conscientious product. X Shuangqian Guiling It feels like a canned product, tastes very industrial, and is quite expensive. Avoid it! Guanji Douhua The osmanthus honey tofu pudding is very refreshing. At ¥5 a bowl, it's worth it. The rich bean flavor of the tofu pudding perfectly balances the sweetness of the osmanthus honey. Ming Kee Bowl Cake This is a classic and delicious bowl cake. The cake has the perfect balance of softness and firmness, springy yet slightly chewy. Recommend the red bean, wheat, and coconut flavors. Bingquan Soy Milk House I love their soy milk, which has a burnt flavor and is so rich it almost looks like it's coated in starch. However, only the main branch allows you to adjust the sweetness; the slightly sweet version at the branch is a bit too sweet, and pairs well with fried dough sticks. The tofu pudding is like pudding, icy and perfect for summer. Sour and Sour After trying three restaurants, I found this one to be the best. It has the right balance of sweet and sour, and the ingredients are fresh. I recommend the tangerine peel, cucumber, mango, guava, and cabbage. The tangy and spicy flavors are very appetizing and relieve the greasiness. Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls Yuanyang, a combination of sesame paste and peanut paste, comes with black sesame glutinous rice balls and is only 12 yuan per bowl. Although the paste feels a bit powdery, it's thin and smooth, which suits my taste, and the sweetness is just right. Golden Balls My friend said these are the best octopus balls in Wuzhou, and they're indeed delicious. The balls are pan-fried until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich squid flavor. The mayonnaise sauce is a bit sweet, though. Herbal Tea Fukang, Yongchangtang, and Jiajin are all good choices. In Wuzhou, there's a herbal tea shop every three steps. These are local, decades-old establishments. Fukang is more appealing to everyone, affordable, portable, and delicious. Geek Coffee A lovely and beautiful coffee shop. The owner's latte art is beautiful, and the specialty coffee is also quite good. If you're looking for a more professional coffee, this place has excellent product and a comfortable environment. Liubao Tea Wuzhou's Liubao Tea Factory is very famous. This tea is very similar to ripe Pu'er, but has a lighter flavor. It comes in three flavors: golden flower, betel nut, and aged. If you like black tea, give it a try.

I saw that it is made of beef offal topped with a special sour soup, so I came here to check out the store~ The seasoning of this Niuchangsuan was passed down from the boss' grandfather's generation. Before, it was enjoyed by family members and friends. When it came to the boss' generation, he opened a shop to promote it so that diners can enjoy this delicacy~ The boss was very enthusiastic and told us that the sourness of this Niuchangsuan was made with natural ingredients such as bayberry, hawthorn, and monk fruit. It tastes very sour when topped with beef offal. This snack also won the second prize of Guangxi Specialty Snacks~ If you come to Wuzhou and don't eat Niuchangsuan, it's a waste of time~
