I sat at the counter by myself and the owner chatted with me for a bit. It was a really nice, personal touch that made the solo meal feel less quiet.

The soba here has this lovely buckwheat scent. The noodles are firm and thick, just like proper country-style soba. You can tell they're handmade.

The tempura was nice and crispy, with good-sized pieces. I just felt the dipping sauce could have been a bit more flavorful. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made for a relaxed meal.

A cozy little spot run by a lovely couple. The daily-changing sushi selection is a nice touch. I had a glass of crisp white wine with the sashimi platter, and the pairing was spot on. A very relaxed dinner.

Bright and cozy inside, perfect for a solo lunch. I grabbed a window seat and just watched the street for a bit. The ramen was solid, nothing crazy. Good for when you need a quiet spot to recharge.

The pumpkin soup was just right, not too thick. The persimmon anmitsu at the end was a nice little surprise. A quiet, thoughtful lunch.

Perfect for a solo lunch. The counter seating is ideal, and their house sake was a nice, simple pairing with the fresh sashimi.

If you're looking for a great dining experience in Sendai, this izakaya is the place to be. The food is delicious, especially the sashimi and grilled dishes, and the service is top-notch.
