The mariachi band on Wednesday night was a nice touch, made the place feel lively. Definitely need a reservation though, we almost didn't get in. Taco bar had a good spread, I grabbed a few different kinds. Fun spot if you're in the area and don't mind it being a bit busy.

Loved the beer selection, lots of options. Prices are a bit higher if you drink there, but the vibe makes up for it. Good spot to hang out. 🍺

The salmon was cooked just right, flaky and fresh. Paired it with a glass of white wine they suggested, worked well together. Lake view from the table made it feel like a proper evening out. Service was fine, nothing rushed. Would come back for that view alone, maybe try the steak next time.

The alfajores here are really good, I gotta say. Soft, not too sweet, just right. Only thing is I wish they stayed open a bit later. I stopped by after work and they were already closing up. Kind of a bummer since I was craving one. But if you can catch them during the day, totally worth it.

Been coming here for a while now. Currywurst still hits the spot every time. Place keeps that local feel, not all touristy. That's why I keep coming back.

Sashimi was the standout for sure. Probably the best sushi I've had in Central America so far. Staff knew their stuff, helped me pick without being pushy. Place is small, tables are a bit close together, but it didn't bother me much. Would go back for the yellowtail alone.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast. Coffee was hot, food came out fast. Got the guacamole on the side—definitely the right call. Place was clean, not crowded. Solid spot if you're in Ajijic and don't wanna wait around.

Came here with my dog on a sunny afternoon. Patio gets real hot though, not much shade. Beer list is solid, tried the IPA and it hit the spot. Service was on point, guy checked on us a couple times. Good spot if you're in the area and wanna chill outside. 🍺🐕

Stopped by for lunch and grabbed the surf and turf burrito. It was packed with shrimp and steak, super filling. Sat outside, nice breeze, no rush at all. Place wasn't too crowded around 1pm. Wish the salsa had a bit more kick though. Solid pick if you're in Ajijic and want something easy. 🌮

The chilaquiles were really good—seasoned just right, not too spicy. Lotus French toast was okay but kinda subtle. Portions felt fair for what you pay.

The 'Mexa' hot dog was the one I kept thinking about after leaving. Menu's small so you won't spend forever deciding. Solid pick in Guadalajara.

The kung pao chicken here hits right every time. Noodles are solid too, got that proper wok flavor. I come almost every week just for those two dishes. Service is quick but honestly I barely notice, I'm too busy eating. Portion size is decent for the price.

The caldo tlalpeño was solid, pozole huge—couldn't finish mine. ~$580 for two, fair deal. Get there early, line gets crazy.

Tortas ahogadas here were spot on — just the right amount of sauce. We try them every time we're in Jalisco and these might be my new favorite. Staff was friendly too.

Shrimp cocktail was the move—fresh, big, and that sauce had a nice kick. Place got busy and service slowed down a bit, but the food made up for it.

The filet mignon grilled cheese was a bit too greasy for me, but the server was really attentive. Next time I'll probably just go with a steak.

Stopped in for a quick bite and honestly the pizza surprised me. Crust was light, airy, that nice chewy texture you want. Got the spicy peanut sauce on the side, kinda weird combo but it worked. Place was a bit cramped though, not much room to sit around after you eat. Still, solid pie if you're in the area.

The empanadas were a decent start, but the picaña was the real highlight—juicy, well-seasoned. Sat on the patio, which was a nice break from the noise. Staff were friendly enough. Pretty good spot if you're in the area.

The premium buffet felt a bit steep for what you get. The classic option is decent value though, especially if you're hungry.

Friendly staff and big portions, that's what I remember most. Wish they had more wine choices though.

The bionico was good and the balcony view of the plaza is a nice touch. Prices felt fair for what you get. Solid spot for a casual bite.

Sat at the bar and watched the chef work—you can tell he really cares about the food. Plating was pretty, portions were solid. Staff were chill too.
