鼓山作为福州的一张名片，风景还是不错的，地铁直接可以到达，缆车或者步行都可以，我是步行上山缆车下去的，成人票单程50，往返75，儿童票半价，有两条路，一条登山路一条古道，登山路全程1500米，古道1800米，沿途都是亭子，山顶有著名的鼓山十八景，不过需要门票，10元，基本都是石刻，从山下到山顶差不多1个多小时，十八景也差不多一个小时左右，山顶还有一个瞭望台，当然景区范围是非常大的，如果全部玩下来需要一整天时间，夏天这个季节是比较累的，不过山里还是比较凉快，下山做索道，可以看到福州的全景，也比较省体力，还有就是千万不要遇到蛇哈，如果可以的话最好结伴，东面还有一个寺庙，不过离核心景区比较远，主要是十八景和瞭望台吧，最好是凉快点玩比较好，就算一整天也不会很累

鼓山风景名胜区位于福州晋安区，闽江北岸，离市区7.5公里。据传山上有巨石如鼓，每当风雨大作，便簸荡有声，故名。绝顶屴崱峰，海拔870.3米。峰岩秀拔，峡谷幽雅，古树名木郁郁葱葱。在众多的峰峦岩洞中，以屴崱峰、白云峰、喝水岩、白云洞、达摩洞等尤胜。还有溪洞峡谷，如鳝溪、磨溪、鼓山溪等，有的溪水奔泻，有的细水长流，鳝溪瀑布更是壮观；典型的峡谷如喝水岩、灵源洞被称为“谷中之谷”。
