It is a neo-Gothic and neo-Romanian observation deck located on the Castle Hill on the Danube side of Budapest, Hungary, and adjacent to the Church of Marghash. It was built between 1895 and 1902 and was designed by Frij Schulak. During World War II, the Fisherman's Fort was nearly destroyed. Between 1947 and 1948, the son of Frij Schulak, Janos Schulak, was responsible for the restoration.
