My little family and I spent five weeks in Milan opposite the Parco Sempione near the Arco Della Pace. Pandenus was just around the corner from our apartment and, after discovering it in our first few days, it quickly became our favourite local coffee and breakfast spot. My 18-month-old daughter learned how to say brioche in order to get in front of their delicious breakfast treats as often as she could. Fabio the Barista coined a new kind of coffee - Cafe Australiano - for my wife, who enjoys a double espresso with a little soy milk in the morning. The crew are always smiling and welcoming; it’s a mecca for locals on their way to work or between appointment; and the selection of brioche, cakes, panini and breads are vaster than we could cover in five weeks of breakfasts and coffee stops.
