Founded in 1938, the Monastery is the only museum in the United States dedicated to the collection and exhibition of medieval art and architecture. The most striking point is that the main building in the museum is the building of five medieval monastery churches that have been moved from France. It is built in Roman and Gothic styles. There are also three atrium gardens in the museum, which overlook the river and rock walls from the outside. Unlike the metropolitan pavilion next to the lively Central Park, this side is like crossing into the time tunnel, entering the ancient buildings of the Middle Ages, quiet and leisurely with a touch of mystery, and there are fewer tourists here, you can quietly slow down to enjoy the exhibits.

Visiting this branch at the northern end of Manhattan Island is like a medieval monastery in a paradise house, which is a collection of five structures carried by European medieval monasteries, allowing visitors to feel these medieval paintings as they travel between garden courtyards. Transportation: You can take Metro Line A to 190th Street Station and get off at Margaret Corbin Drive North for about 10 minutes. If you leave the Fifth Avenue Museum, you need to reserve an hour of commute time. It is recommended to visit two days.

The Met Cloisters showcases European medieval art within old monastic rooms and courtyards. A ticket for the Met is good for entry to all three Met museums. Worth it if you have discounted local pricing. Otherwise, maybe not.
