Things to do in Chizhou

Half a day is enough to visit Huatai. Depart from the visitor center early in the morning, take the cable car up the mountain, enjoy the stunning scenery along the boardwalk, and admire the blooming wildflowers. Visit the Tiantai Temple for Buddhist worship and enjoy the views from Huatai. Highly recommended.

Shitai Guniujiang Longmen Scenic Area truly lives up to its reputation as the "Little Jiuzhaigou of Southern Anhui"! The mountains and forests are lush and verdant, the Longmen Pool's waters are emerald green, and the streams are crystal clear and captivating. Stroll along the waterfront boardwalk, admiring the four-tiered waterfall and the rustic Yan Family Ancient Village. The air is rich in negative ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. The trails are well-maintained, making for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. The mountain and water scenery is soothing and definitely worth a visit.

Being able to bring a dog on the cable car is commendable. It was very crowded that day due to the National Day holiday; we queued for an hour, but it was manageable after getting a number and exploring a bit more. There was heavy fog that day, so the scenery wasn't visible.

Dear Friend, please visit this scenic once in a lifetime at least, since it's free to enter the park and you can also enjoy the pilgrims trail from the front gate to the end of the park.. for my parents, we got this shuttle to shorten our route since it's close to climb to the foot of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva on 16.50p.m.. please feel free to visit this Scenic once in a lifetime before it's too late to enjoy it.. I was passing through on a business trip and had heard so much about this place before, so I made sure to visit as soon as possible. And it truly lived up to its reputation! The attractions were well-organized and the overall experience was great. I had a wonderful time and wasn't tired at all. It was so much fun!

Chizhou Xianyu Mountain offers a fantastic experience! With its incredibly high forest coverage, cascading waterfalls and flowing springs, swirling mists, and selenium-rich air, it's a secluded and uncrowded natural oxygen bar, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. 🌿

After the 2023 Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I drove back to Shanghai. I arrived in Chizhou at 8 pm and stayed overnight. The next morning, I went to the nearby Qishan Pingtian Lake Scenic Area. I didn't expect it to be an unexpected surprise trip. There were not many tourists and the experience was very good. The scenic area is free and you can drive in. There are some free parking lots in the scenic area. The scenery of lakes and mountains is no less than that of West Lake.

It's 200 meters from Zuishanye Scenic Area, which is very convenient. The B&B is not as big as expected, but it is quite exquisite. The service during National Day can also keep up, and the fireworks on Mid-Autumn Festival night are well received!

As the first intangible cultural heritage-themed town focusing on Nuo opera in China, Nuoxian Town boasts a rich Nuo culture atmosphere. The town features NPCs dressed in Nuo opera costumes interacting with tourists, as well as interactive experiences such as Nuo opera performances and Nuo mask painting, allowing visitors to deeply experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

Having visited Zhijin Cave before, I didn't have high expectations for the smaller caves in Chizhou. But it was actually quite nice! A 20-minute cable car ride, a 1-kilometer walk, and a 2500-meter cave. I recommend the boat ride for the last part; it's enjoyable for both the elderly and children.
