Tsitsikamma National Park

Tsitsikamma National Park is a component of the Garden Route National Park, extending along the south coast of South Africa, with a marine protected area covering dozens of km of pristine coastline. The landscape here is diverse—primeval forests spread along river valleys, cliffs plunge directly into the sea, mountain fynbos and coastal wilderness grow intertwined, and rivers rush from the inland into the sea, carving out deep canyon views. Storms River Mouth is the core area of the park. A suspension bridge spans the mouth, and walking on it offers a view of the magnificent convergence of river water and ocean waves. On the other side of the bridge, a short, steep trail leads to a viewing platform, where you can take in the panoramic view of the entire mouth. The Otter Trail from Storms River to Nature's Valley is a classic multi-day hiking route in South Africa, spanning approx. 40 km, traversing beaches, cliffs, wilderness, and primeval forests, offering panoramic views of the coastline along the way.

Kragga Kamma Game Park

Kragga Kamma Game Park is located on the southeast coast of South Africa and is a natural game park characterized by a landscape of alternating coastal forests and open grasslands. Animals in the park roam freely in a near-wild environment, with various African wildlife such as white rhinos, African buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, bontebok, and nyala inhabiting the area. The park enforces a strict no-hunting policy, and the animals are accustomed to vehicles, giving visitors the opportunity to observe and photograph them up close. There are two main ways to explore the park: first, drive along the park roads through grasslands and woodlands to look for animals hidden in the bushes and grass. The road conditions are good, and standard passenger vehicles can pass through, or you can choose to take an open-top safari vehicle led by a professional guide. Second, walk along the forest canopy walkway, crossing suspension bridges into the primeval forest, where you can spot forest animals such as vervet monkeys and bushbuck along the way. The walkway area has recorded over 200 species of birds, making it a great place for birdwatching.

Knysna River

Knysna Riveris an estuary lagoon connected to the Indian Ocean, located next to the town of Knysna along the Garden Route in South Africa. At high tide, the water is vast and calm, resembling a giant mirror. As the tides change, sandbars are exposed in some areas, subtly altering the shoreline. Two headlands facing each other extend toward the center of the lagoon, causing the wide water surface to narrow abruptly here, forming a natural channel that connects the inner lagoon to the open sea. The headlands not only shape the unique spatial layout of the lagoon area but also act as a natural barrier, blocking some of the Indian Ocean's waves and keeping the waters inside relatively calm. Therefore, compared to the open sea, the interior of the lagoon is more suitable for water activities, with boat tours, kayaking, and sunset cruises all concentrated in this area. During the voyage, you can observe the natural view composed of the shoreline, headlands, and the open lagoon from the water.
