Hongyadong commercial street is located on Cangbai Road of Yuzhong District, Chongqing City. It is at the intersection where the Yangtze River and the Jialing River meet. Most of its buildings are “Diaojialou” style, which reflects traditional architectural features of Bayu. It is a great place to go if you want to check out the old streets of Chongqing, appreciate the two rivers, or try local cuisines. At the same time, it is home to a bustling night scene, making it a fascinating attraction for photographers.China · Chongqing

Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street

Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street is the long-established core commercial district in Chongqing, located on the Yuzhong Peninsula. Centered around the Monument to the People's Liberation at its heart, it extends along several streets including Minquan Road, Minzu Road, Zourong Road, and Bayi Road. The monument is an octagonal tower-shaped structure, originally built to commemorate the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and later renamed the Monument to the People's Liberation. Its four-sided clock at the top makes it a highly recognizable landmark in Chongqing, and most travelers visiting here take photos in front of it. Shopping and food are the two main themes of the pedestrian street: the area around the monument is densely packed with shopping malls and traditional department stores. When tired from shopping, visitors can turn into Bayi Road Snack Street, where sour and spicy noodles, small glutinous rice balls, and wontons line the street, allowing them to sample all of Chongqing's snacks while strolling. Hidden around the commercial district are Luohan Temple and Nengren Temple on Zhonghua Road, two ancient temples nestled among skyscrapers, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. At night, the pedestrian street takes on a different vibe: building screens and neon lights illuminate the area, and the square in front of the monument becomes a popular spot for night photography. Every New Year's Eve, many locals gather under the monument to listen to the New Year's bell and count down together—a tradition that has continued for years. The crowd is enormous that night, so those wishing to experience the atmosphere should plan ahead. A short 15-minute walk from the monument leads to Hongya Cave, making it ideal to combine both locations into a nightlife route.China · Chongqing

Chengkou not only has Lao Larou, but also Daba Mountains. Daba Mountains is the place with the most mountains and the most complex geological conditions. This is also the reason why Chengkou was the last to be connected to the highway. I once thought about taking advantage of the opening of the highway to visit Chengkou, but it did not come true in the end. Fortunately, with this trip to Hongchiba, I turned the steering wheel and headed towards Chengkou. Daba Mountains are still very beautiful, a wonder of nature.

The Quxian Confucian Temple is located at No. 93 Heping Street, Qujiang Town, Qu County, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 5,711 square meters. It is currently the only well-preserved ancient Qing Dynasty building complex in Northeast Sichuan. Quxian Confucian Temple was built before Jiading in Song Dynasty. The existing Confucian Temple was built in the second year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1663). It was built successively in Kangxi, Yong, Qian, and Jiajia according to regulations. It was completed in the autumn of the first year of Daoguang (AD 1821), and it took 158 years to finally reach its full scale. Quxian Confucian Temple takes advantage of the mountain and uses the rare symmetrical layout method of the central curve axis to cleverly and rationally arrange the palace wall, Panchi, Lingxing Gate, Jimen (Dacheng Gate), East and West verandas, Dacheng Hall, and Chongsheng Temple. (Qisheng Temple) is a courtyard-style building with three entrances and a quadrangle as the main frame. The entire ancient building complex of Quxian Confucian Temple is in the shape of a staircase, with pavilions and pavilions integrated into one. The main building is tall, solemn and majestic. In 1986, the Quxian Confucian Temple was announced by the Quxian People's Government as one of the first batch of county-level cultural relics protection units. In 2001, the Quxian Confucian Temple was announced by the Dazhou Municipal People's Government as one of the first batch of municipal cultural relics protection units. In 2007, the Quxian Confucian Temple was announced by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government as the seventh batch of provincial cultural relics protection units. In 2013, the Quxian Confucian Temple was announced by the State Council as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The Quxian History Museum is located in the Quxian Confucian Temple. It is a national third-level museum and the second batch of free museums in the country. Many exquisite and precious cultural relics are displayed in the cultural relics exhibition hall.

The natural scenery is nice, the buildings are beautiful, and even the toilets are in line with the surrounding style. The tripod of the Shili Hall has a good weather and a peaceful country on one side and a beautiful vision of peace and prosperity on the other. The Wenfeng Pavilion is built in the style of the Tang Dynasty. You can go up to the building, feel the cool breeze, and look back at the Wenfeng Tower, the Ziku Tower, the Shili Hall, the Qianqiu Ding, the Book Scroll and other attractions, which is very pleasant. There are stories of celebrities in Qu County (such as Wang Xiaobo's father, Yang Mu, etc.) and history upstairs. There is also the Wenfeng Academy next to it, which has a very design sense and talks about the academy system, the imperial examination system, Confucianism, etc. You can drive up there, and there are also bicycle lanes. I went there on May Day, and there were very few people, so it is worth a visit.

The Two Rivers Ferry is absolutely fantastic! The 15 yuan ticket is incredibly cost-effective! Here's a great route for families with kids: After visiting Jiefangbei and Kuixinglou, see Hongyadong during the day. If you're traveling with a 6-year-old and don't want to brave the crowds at Hongyadong at night, the stilted buildings during the day are just as beautiful. Afterward, take the Two Rivers Ferry to Danzishi, disembark, and explore Danzishi Old Street, Nanbin Road, and Xiahaoli. Then, take the light rail/bus or taxi back. The whole route is smooth and relaxing. The boat ride is novel and fun, and the kids especially loved it, remaining enthusiastic about exploring the shopping streets afterwards. At the pier, there's a large bowl of freshly cut watermelon for 10 yuan – watch it being cut right in front of you! It's sweet and refreshing. I highly recommend this route for families!

My stay in Chongqing was fantastic! The hotel boasts a superb location, within walking distance of Eling No. 2 Factory and Liziba Viewpoint, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The rooms were spotless and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the amenities were complete. The free parking was a great convenience for travelers with cars. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in quick and easy, and patiently answering all my questions. Overall, it offered excellent value for money and is a top choice for any trip. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.
