Daintree National Park

Daintree National Park is located in the northern part of Queensland, about 100 kilometers from Cairns. It was established in 1981 and is a world natural heritage site. The park consists of two parts, Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. 1. Cape Tribulation Daintree National Park has one of the oldest and oldest rainforests in the world. The entire national park consists of Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge. To reach Cape Tribulation, you need to take a ferry boat (to protect the environment, no highway is built in the park), and the place to take the ferry is at the fork in the crossing of the Daintree River, 24 kilometers north of Mossman. Most of the attractions in Cape Tribulation are dominated by the original bay scenery. Some beaches may also be haunted by crocodiles. Be sure to read the signs on the beach. Cape Tribulation has become a well-known tourist destination. It is a resting place that is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the sea and sky are the same color. It provides a comfortable and quiet environment for urban people to relax. 2. The name of Mossman Gorge Daintree National Park comes from the early explorer Richard Daintree. Mossman Gorge is the entrance to the national park. The canyon is composed of large rainforests and mountains, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Australia. The tropical rainforest is luscious and intoxicating. This park is of great conservation value, because most of the creatures in the park are rare, rare or endangered, and the park provides them with a good habitat and breeding environment. In the park, you can see big spiders, kangaroos, koalas, and giant banana leaves. There are also giant fruit doves, cassowaries, possums, Australian brown short-nosed bandicoots, muskrats, platypus, Australian echidnas, black-tailed kangaroos and other animals in the rainforest. If you are lucky, you can also see an Australian national treasure bird called Cassorwary, which is unique here. 3. Feel the time You can stop and rest at the viewing platform of the Alexander Mountains and admire the lush green coastline, which stretches all the way down to the charming sea. Take a stroll on the 650-meter Jindaba Trail or follow the 7-kilometer Solo Mountain Ridge Trail to explore tropical lowland rainforests, swamps, mangroves and sandy beaches. You can also learn about the various creatures in this spectacular environment and look for the endangered southern cassowary, according to the descriptions of the interpretive signs.Dedin · 7.4km from downtown

Moore's Reef Platform is the world's premier marine experience platform, designed to accommodate visitors of all ages and abilities, allowing everyone to experience the magnificent Great Barrier Reef in comfort. Fitzroy Island, part of the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, is one of Cairns' most accessible tropical getaways. Just a short 45-minute boat ride from Cairns, this lush rainforest island is celebrated for its coral beaches, fringing reefs, and vibrant marine life. Unlike typical continential islands, many of Fitzroy's beaches are formed from crushed coral, built up over thousands of years. These remnants of ancient reefs were gradually reshaped and displaced by hundreds of tropical storms, creating the island's uniquely textured shores that embody its deep connection to the Great Barrier Reef's natural history.Cairns · 96.1km from Dedin

The Tropical Rainforest Park is located on the Kennedy Highway, only a 5-minute drive from the town of Kuranda and about half an hour from Cairns. It is one of the ancient and mysterious tropical rainforests in the world, a symbol of Kuranda, and a must-visit place in Cairns. 1. There is a fixed shuttle bus to and from the tropical rain forest park and the butterfly house every day. Drive to the rainforest park, opposite the visitor center and gift shop, you can sign up for various activities. Entering from the parking lot, you will first come to the wildlife park. The wildlife park is not far from the entrance, providing visitors with the opportunity to get in touch with cute animals. In addition to petting koalas, you can also feed kangaroos and take pictures with crocodiles. In the zoo is a saltwater crocodile that is more than 5 meters long. It has the title of "Devil Jack" because it killed 12 other small crocodiles in the park before. The built trail allows tourists to see his activities very clearly. 2. Near the Tropical Fruit Garden is Tropical Fruit Orchard. There are more than 40 kinds of tropical fruits. You can also taste fresh juice while learning knowledge! In the middle of the tropical fruit garden is the tropical supply station, which provides a variety of tropical juices, tropical fruit ice cream and snacks, allowing you to cool off in this hot tropical rainforest. 3. Amphibious vehicle Amphibious vehicle is a unique adventure rainforest experience, which is a unique project in the park. There are 12 military combat vehicles left over from World War II in the park, and the experience time is 45 minutes. Australian aboriginal performances In addition to this, there are also Australian aboriginal performances waiting for you. Professional Aboriginal guides will take you back in time in original costumes and gain insight into primitive life. Ancient culture tour, including half-hour dance performance and half-hour display of weapons and instruments. In the natural background of the tropical rainforest, the indigenous people play musical instruments, expressing their worship of nature incisively and vividly. They also imitate various animals, showing scenes of gathering and hunting. The professional demonstration and explanation of Huilibiao will also be included. The indigenous people use javelins to hunt animals, and you can also take pictures with them. Also, you can admire the drawing of pointillism or try face painting.Kuranda · 79km from Dedin

Daintree National Park, also known as the Daintree Rainforest, is a dense subtropical primeval forest. There are very easy-to-walk trails here, where you can breathe in the fresh air, enjoy the beautiful scenery around, and explore those very rare wild animals. It is a great place to relax.

There are staff members who speak Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. There are many Chinese staff members, so communication is not a problem. The sea is very beautiful, and the itinerary is well-planned, making it a great day trip!

The most impressive attraction to us is Army Duck Tour. The ranger was funny and knowledgeable. He introduced different plants and habitats in the rainforest. In addition, there were a few koala, wallabies and wildlife to see. Quite an interesting place to play a half day visit.

The scene was definitely beautiful, we took the cableway around 3PM and was not too hot. Gaby was amazing, we originally purchased the wrong time and wrong departure location. She was able to help us make it right. We also missed our original booked time but the staffs allowed us to get on. Everyone is so nice here 😊

Port Douglas is a small destination in area only. The Port itself is not that big but provides a vast array of accomodation that would satisfy any budget. Port Douglas is out of the hustle and bustle of the main city of Cairns, but provides all amenities.Indeed, it can accomodate that intimate, quiet time out you have been craving for - or deliver an action packed, adrenalin filled holiday thrill seekers are looking for. Anything in between is catered for as well.We stayed during October, apparently reknowned for its winds. And yes, it was windy, but warm.We went to the Habitat and spent nearly a day eventhough we were Aussies and familiar with a lot of the wildlife it was still an intimate exposure to them and very interesting. We did the touristy thing and went out to the reef - hubby did 3 dives and I snorkelled. The Poseidon catered for each of our needs and gave good individual service. I would have been more nervous with a bigger operator. Our Rainforest tour with Tony's Tours was just great. Only 6 people so we heard everything and never felt like cattle being rustled through. Questions were answered and a lot of information and history was passed on. Loved eating at Port Douglas - (hey, I love eating anywhere!) which probably makes me a conossoir right!?You have to go to the Combined Services Club - as quoted 'million dollar views and nothing over $20.00.'The yacht club is pretty good too. But don't go past the good old pub in the middle of the main drag which served up the best steak and for the cheapest price. That's where the locals still go to eat.Our accomodation was great. We stayed at Freestyle where our hosts were just spot on with local knowledge without being obtrusive at all. Our unit was great and reasonably priced. And we knew that if we needed anything then Anne would be able to assist us.Port Douglas is warm - hot in summer - and you always need your sunscreen and hat!!!And always friendly and fun. Loved it!
