Taiping Forest Park day tour

Itinerary:

Depart early and head to the renowned "Tai Ping National Forest Park," hailed as the Jiuzhaigou of the North. Located in Taiping Valley, Huxian County, Shaanxi Province, the park is 44 kilometers from Xi'an and covers a total area of 2,117 hectares. It features five scenic areas—Stone Gate, Moon Palace Pool, Stone Boat, Huangyang Dam, and Birch Forest Bay—with nearly 100 attractions. Named after the Taiping Palace built by the Sui Dynasty royal family, the valley boasts unique mountain and water views, serving as a scenic retreat for Tang Dynasty emperors to admire flowers and escape the summer heat. The park is rich in diverse plant resources, including ancient and resilient larch forests, wind-defying fir forests, and red birch forests that appear green from afar but red up close. The vibrant Chinese redbud blooms create a breathtaking spring spectacle, with ever-changing scenery throughout the seasons. The park's natural landscapes are exceptional, featuring 12 waterfalls of varying sizes, the tallest with a drop of over 100 meters, concentrated within a 2.5-kilometer range, forming a rare waterfall cluster in northern China. Each waterfall cascades into a pool, creating mist and rainbows, immersing visitors in a fairy-tale setting. Notable waterfalls include Rainbow Falls, Jade Belt Falls, Crane Bridge Falls, and Dragon Mouth Falls. Guests are free to explore at their leisure before returning to Xi'an by bus, concluding a delightful journey!
