Depart from the KFC entrance at Zhujiajian Pier at 7:30 AM, take a 20-minute ferry ride to Putuo Mountain Scenic Area. After arriving on the island, pass through the ancient Miaozhuang Trail, one of the oldest paths on Putuo Mountain, where you can experience profound tranquility and unity of mind. Then proceed to the second-largest royal temple on Putuo Mountain.
Fayu Temple (minimum visit time 60 minutes), also known as the "Rear Temple," was established in the 8th year of the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era (1580 AD). In the 38th year of the Qing Dynasty's Kangxi era (1699), the main hall was renovated, and the emperor bestowed the plaque "Tianhua Fayu" (Heavenly Flowers and Dharma Rain), from which the temple derived its current name.

Afterwards, visit Puji Temple, the largest temple on Mount Putuo (tour duration no less than 60 minutes). Also known as the "Front Temple," it is the main shrine dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva and the most popular pilgrimage site on Mount Putuo. A blessing guide will then lead you in chanting hymns while paying respects at eight grand halls: the Hall of Perfect Penetration, Manjusri Hall, Samantabhadra Hall, Mahavira Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, Universal Gate Hall, Sangharama Hall, and Three Realms Response Hall! Beside the lotus pond of Puji Temple stands the Duobao Pagoda, commonly known as the Prince Pagoda. Located at the southern end of Haiyin Pool within Puji Temple, this pagoda was rebuilt in 1334 during the Yuan Dynasty through fundraising by the monk Fuzhong, with support from Prince Xuanrang and other southern nobles. A Prince Pagoda Monastery was also built beside it. Now recognized as one of Mount Putuo's oldest structures and a rare Yuan Dynasty stone pagoda in Zhejiang Province, it ranks among Mount Putuo's Three Treasures.
[Putuo Theater] (Complimentary) Watch the Buddhist sacred performance "Avalokiteshvara" Blessing Edition, which presents a symphony of enlightenment, participation, and visual splendor to the audience. Both spectators and monks engage in this modern artistic rendition of an Avalokiteshvara Dharma assembly, offering a spiritual cleansing and divine connection that bathes the soul in grace.
Visit the iconic 33-meter-tall outdoor Guanyin statue - Nanhai Guanyin (approximately 50 minutes). The statue features Amitabha on its crown, holding a Dharma wheel in the left hand and displaying the Abhaya Mudra (fearlessness gesture) with the right hand, embodying the compassionate and majestic form of Guanyin Bodhisattva who "observes all beings with wisdom eyes and carries vows as deep as the ocean." Bukenqu Guanyin Yard, located beside Chaoyin Cave, is enclosed by a low yellow wall and consists of three simple Buddhist halls where incense smoke perpetually rises. As the earliest established temple on Mount Putuo and the origin of Buddhist worship here, coupled with the legend of the "Temple of the Unwilling-to-Leave Guanyin," it has become one of the most renowned temples outside the "Three Great Temples of Putuo." Zizhulin offers a distant view of the reclining Buddha on the sea - Luojia Mountain.
