▲ The semicircular square in the heart of Dijon's old town is located in front of the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy.

▲ The Jardin Darcy is the first public garden in Dijon. It was built around a water reservoir constructed forty years earlier under the direction of engineer Henry Darcy. This romantic-style garden is guarded by a polar bear statue, created by a student of the renowned sculptor François Pompon in his memory.

▲ Place Francois Rude gets its name from the statue of grape-treaders on the fountain at the center of the square.

▲ This archaeological museum boasts an extensive collection ranging from Celtic artifacts to Roman-era relics and Merovingian dynasty antiquities. Among its treasures is a precious 1st-century standing statue of the Celtic goddess Sequana.
