Whiski Rooms: Edinburgh's whisky sanctuary on the Royal Mile
Location and History
Whiski Rooms is majestically located at 133 High Street, Royal Mile, EH1 1SG in Edinburgh, housed within a 16th-century stone building that was formerly the renowned "St. Giles Whisky Exchange." The restaurant preserves Queen Mary-era stone vaulted cellars and Victorian mahogany liquor cabinets, with walls adorned by an 1846 copperplate map of Scottish distilleries. Amber light filters through thousands of whisky glasses, casting enchanting shadows on the rugged stone walls.
