enjoyable well coordinated tour. we went in late August so crowds were a bit less on the boat itself. the cruise through both fjords and the bus connection were all very beautiful and we also appreciated the timeliness. keep in mind that Geiranger itself is a boring tourist trap full overrun by cruise ships. what you're really paying for with this tour is the journey. the journey is well worth it and we felt like it was a great value.

Very relaxing, easy to access and good value for money. We didn’t fancy walking around Alesund and I couldn’t manage the steps up to the viewpoint. As we had paid for a couple of more pricey excursions at the other ports, this seemed like a nice option and it didn’t disappoint at all. It was 2 hours of a gentle boat trip around the little network of islands that make up Alesund, which are so beautiful. We were blessed with a lovely sunny day in April (take a warm jacket, hat and gloves, though as in some directions the wind was very brisk.) There is a great outside deck and a very pleasant bar and snack area inside. There were only 15 on board (we took tge 1.30 trip which was less popular) and the captain told me that about 60 is maximum, so it’s never going to be crowded. There was some commentary about the sights we were passing but perhaps a little more would have been nice, but overall a great way to skip around the fjords at a great price.

A very enjoyable way to get a sense of the fjords and the countryside around them. The combination of ferry and bus probably made for a richer experience then just a ferry trip alone.


