Missing the bus by a twist of fate led to a tense and exciting start, but thankfully I participated in the entire trip and it was a great memory. I communicated effortlessly with our Chinese-speaking guide, Gon, a very warm and responsible Korean young man. He was always eager to help, offering to take photos, and proactively recommending good restaurants and beautiful scenery. He even gave me lovely postcards. A fantastic day trip!ā

We joined a one-day tour from Kyoto, departing from Kyoto Station at 9:40 AM and returning around 6 PM. The day was incredibly fulfilling. The waters of Amanohashidate were crystal clear, and the Ine Boathouse was ancient and unique. Our tour guide, Cui Haihua, spoke both Chinese and Korean, and provided detailed explanations. The itinerary was well-organized, and the guides made the trip relaxing and enjoyable. Highlights: The cable car and boat ride are a must-try; it's a worthwhile experience.ā

1ļøā£ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
ā Take the cable car to the top (round trip Ā„720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
ā Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2ļøā£ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
ā Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
