Excellent trout organization and very friendly staff. While it was a pity that the Waitomo Cave tour was canceled due to bad weather and flooding, the Hobbiton village experience was amazing.★

The whole family had the most amazing day with Murray visiting thr Hobbiton village and the Glow worm caves. Murray was extremely knowledgeable and explained things and places with great detail. Bush and Beach are lucky to have him.
He made sure we had a great time in the bus, while we stopped for a coffee break, at the movie set and the caves. And all through the drive as well. ★

The glow worm caves and hobbiton were great! The tour company that arranges it all is not. We got caught in Auckland traffic, and as it took twice as long to get there as the gps had said we were to miss the bus leaving time by 10 min. I called the company and they would not hold the bus, and also would not even consider a refund for our incredibly expensive day. So asking what our options where, we discovered we could drive our own car 2 hours to the glow worm caves, meet the tour there, and after drive an hour to Hobbiton, and then 2 hours back. So not wanting to lose the tours, we did just that. The glow worm caves where amazing, but the lunches we where to get after where all mixed up because the tour company did not communicate our gluten and dairy allergies to the company catering the lunches, even though they where to do so. So honestly? Would not use this tour company again.
