Reviews: 40-Minute Guided boat trip in medieval Ghent
Guest User2024-09-20
Our guide was Estee, a local girl born and raised in Ghent that fell in love with her city and really knows how to transmit that love to us. Incredibly knowledgeable and very good boat driver. The views were stunning rich with history. I recommend this activity and above all, I recommend Estee the guide. Ask for her!
Reviews: Guided Boat Trip in Ghent

The boat tour was highlight of our trip to Ghent. The tour was well-organized, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide shared fascinating insights about the city’s history and landmarks, making the journey even more enjoyable. They even let my 6 year old son drive the boat for few minutes that absolutely made his day.
Reviews: Brussels Small-Group Chocolate Appreciation Tour

Nina was an incredible tour guide! The group was a perfect size, the chocolates were a great variety (and delicious of course) and she had so much knowledge of the area and shops. The history and the variety of information made it so fun.

This is a fantastic tour, I am so so happy I booked it. I did it today and as im biking with the sun on my face to places you definitely aren’t going otherwise I was so happy, and grateful I booked it. You don’t have to be super fit 4 or 5 out of 10, you’ll be ok. And the meeting place is called the grand hostel which is what it says on the tin, it’s absolutely fine, but brace yourself , you’re not meeting at the grand market square, it’s a 0.7 km ish walk from there. But you see a converted train station that is now cafes and offices. You see an underground graveyard which is as cool as it sounds. You see the canal heading north to Antwerp. You see the old judicial building which has spectacular views and which is missed. And lots of footpaths through parks you’d never have gone down otherwise. Be brave and book this, I’ve been proud of myself of doing for doing so.
Reviews: Walking Tour - Ghent City Highlights and Beyond
Guest User2026-04-20
I had an incredible afternoon exploring Ghent with Sophie. If you’re looking for a tour that goes beyond the basic tourist spots, this is definitely it. What set this tour apart was Sophie’s incredible historical knowledge. She clearly knows the city’s past inside and out, but what I loved most was that it didn't feel like a lecture. She never used a script; it was more like a great conversation where she’d weave in history naturally while we walked. She really made an effort to make the experience personal, asking what I was actually interested in and adjusting the route on the fly. Thanks to her, I got to see parts of the city I definitely would’ve missed otherwise—like the Patershol area, which was stunning. If you’re in Ghent, do yourself a favor and book with Sophie. It’s well worth it!
