


▲ The "sand" at Reynisfjara Beach is actually granular volcanic lava. These lava particles contain no impurities, silt, or dust. When you scoop up a handful, your palm turns completely black, yet a gentle shake sends the dark grains scattering without leaving a trace on your skin—a truly remarkable phenomenon. Additionally, near the beach stands a peculiar lava mountain rising dramatically from the sea.



▲ The Crashed DC 3 Plane is the wreckage of a US Navy aircraft that was forced to land on the black sand beach on November 24, 1973. All crew members survived, leaving only this plane which eventually became the present-day wreckage.



▲ Seljalandsfoss is located in southwestern Iceland and is one of the taller waterfalls near Reykjavik. There is a curved path at the base of Seljalandsfoss that allows visitors to walk behind the waterfall, offering a unique perspective to admire its spectacular scenery.
