This trip is a must. What a terrific experience . A very long day; 6am -9pm but worth every minute to see the spectacular Katherine Gorge. Our AAT coach driver was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The coach was modern and comfortable. The day started with a stop at Adelaide River General Store for a coffee, then on to the Adelaide War Memorial Cemetery which is a beautiful memorial to the lives lost during the Bombing of Darwin. From here we visited the beautiful Edith Falls before travelling on to Katherine. The highlight of the day was the boat trip through Katherine Gorge which was absolutely spectacular. Buffet lunch at the Nitmiluk Tourist Information Centre was lovely. A stop at Adelaide River Hotel for dinner on the way home topped off the day. A great experience which I highly recommend.

This is a very long day trip but we'll worth it...much easier to leave the driving to someone else. Mel was a very personable driver / guide. She drove safely and gave good commentaries. Katherine Gorge itself was stunning and Jamie our guide on the boat was very knowledgeable. His commentary gave a very good understanding of the area, the landscape and how it became the tourist destination it is now. Lunch was great and the War cemetery, coffee and dinner stops were a great way to break up the long journey.

Tim was an excellent knowledgeable guide. Beautiful scenery and experience. Bus was full and we were very cramped on the back seats.

There should be 2 guides/drivers who can trade off the driving, since it's such a long day. The non-driving person should be on the speaker, telling the stories. Make sure the microphone is working well in the bus. Make sure to tell the guests the whole schedule for the day at the beginning. Arrange for 1 hour at the Didg art gallery, for lunch and for looking at the art. Would be nice to have longer at the gorge. Maybe skip the waterfall/swimming hole. Would be nice to have power ports on the bus.
