Very much enjoyed our tour. Our guide was equal parts funny and informative, and a wonderful storyteller (particularly loved his recounting of his time as a sheep farmer and tales of his herding dogs). The glowworms are incredibly cool and awe-inspiring, and the history of the caves is a great way to round out the visit. Hobbiton is, of course, super cute and a must visit for any LOTR fan. The day was long but never dull, and this was a great last day of our trip to NZ.

The whole family had the most amazing day with Murray visiting thr Hobbiton village and the Glow worm caves. Murray was extremely knowledgeable and explained things and places with great detail. Bush and Beach are lucky to have him. He made sure we had a great time in the bus, while we stopped for a coffee break, at the movie set and the caves. And all through the drive as well.

Such a great trip! Grant (or Grant but in a kiwi accent) was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the culture and history during the long van rides. Glowworm caves were cool but the highlight for me was definitely the geysers. The whole experience was great and am so grateful that they offer a trip like this including transport since Rotorua is quite a distance away. Note: this experience did not include a Māori performance or haka. If I read the description better I wouldve known that but that is the only thing I was a little bummed about. The experience is great, but just note what is actually included if thats what you are looking for.


