The waterfall is magnificent; from the viewing platform, you can see both Detian Waterfall and Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam. The boardwalk has many steps, so the elderly and children should walk slowly. Overall, it's worth visiting, but a long drive is expected.

We had an excellent day tour with driver (边角). She was courteous, attentive, communicative and very efficient. She ensured we got to the correct queues; all attraction tickets were sorted out prior to the tour. She drove competently and safely. Highly recommended!

Before booking, I hesitated for a long time about whether to choose the Detian Waterfall + Mingshi Pastoral Garden package. Ultimately, considering the two scenic spots are quite far apart, about an hour's drive, which might mean I wouldn't get to fully enjoy Detian Waterfall and would be too tired, and since I was going to Guilin for rafting on the Li River and Yulong River anyway, I decisively gave up the package including Mingshi Pastoral Garden and chose the 4-hour Detian Waterfall package instead. It proved to be the right decision. This bus tour had over forty people, a bit too many. The tour guide, surnamed Huang, was a middle-aged man from Guangxi, around 40 years old, very experienced, and patiently explained things on the way. Because the itinerary was simple, the overall arrangement was quite good. The bamboo rafting at the waterfall was an optional extra, but the experience was excellent. There were also two Vietnamese lunches, which were quite good. The durian pastries and Vietnamese banknote collection albums sold near the bamboo rafts are optional purchases, the quality is okay. For other things, try to listen to the tour guide's advice and avoid being overcharged. Detian Waterfall truly lives up to its reputation as the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world and the largest in Asia; it's very impressive. There's also a Sino-Vietnamese themed street where you can stroll, eat, and drink.

This trip to Guangxi was incredibly fortunate to have met our driver/guide, Juanjuan. The entire experience was perfect, a truly comfortable and wonderful trip! She was extremely familiar with the local roads, and her itinerary was perfectly planned, cleverly avoiding congested areas and saving us a lot of valuable time. She also thoughtfully recommended local restaurants, where the food was authentic, delicious, and incredibly reasonably priced – truly delicious and affordable! With her cheerful and talkative personality, she patiently explained the local customs and culture of Guangxi throughout the trip, allowing us to deeply understand the unique charm of this land. She was always attentive to everyone's needs, providing gentle and considerate service. She even shared a local specialty, mugwort dumplings, with us, allowing us to taste the authentic local flavor. I highly recommend choosing Juanjuan as your travel driver/guide; she's reliable, warm-hearted, and will definitely add a unique and wonderful memory to your trip!
