Things to do in La Spezia

Cinque Terre, located on the Italian coast in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, is a collective name for five cliffside villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. In 1997, Cinque Terre, along with Portovenere, the Palmaria Islands, Tino, and Tinetto, were nominated for UNESCO World Heritage status, and in 1999, they were designated a national park. Many tourists choose to hike among these five villages to experience the beauty of the Italian countryside. For those who prefer a less strenuous experience, shorter hiking trails or train journeys are available. Alternatively, one can stay in a guesthouse for a while, focusing solely on the charm of the fishing villages.

The scenery here is beautiful. The small houses on the cliff face the sea. Bougainvillea blooms in spring and the sea water is warm in summer. It is a place that photography enthusiasts like to go to, because you can capture beautiful scenery with just a casual shot here.

I have been to many places in Italy, including big cities such as the fashion capital Milan, the historical city Rome, the water city Venice, and the cultural treasure Florence, but my favorite is Cinque Terre. It seems that here, you can really experience the life of the locals and enjoy life comfortably.

The Via dei Fiori is the shortest and easiest section of the Cinque Terre trail, about one kilometer long. The road is carved out of a cliff not too high from the ground, with cliffs on one side and waves on the other, and the surrounding guardrails are hung with love locks.

Part of the core area of ​​​​Cinque Terre, this place is really a masterpiece. It is built on a cliff and has very good facilities. Corniglia also has railway transportation. Many Italians have holiday houses here.
