The cruise itself, as a means of transport from Guilin to Yangshuo, is a good option, but there are some caveats. It's a long journey. A taxi from hotel to hotel takes about 1.5-2 hours. By boat, including transfer to your hotel and waiting time for departure, it's about seven hours. Our ship didn't stop anywhere, although other ships regularly stopped at beautiful spots. And the announcements for such spots weren't obvious. Because of this, we missed the view of the Seven Horses. The buffet was quite decent, and the views themselves, which are the main reason for the cruise, were wonderful.★

The cruise was really wonderful and the buffet lunch was good. The service was good as well. Unfortunately the sequential poorly organized seating had 2 of us on the first floor and one of us upstairs. There really should be better seat assignments to ensure that groups are put together as best as possible. Thankfully, they were kind enough to give us a bench together near the front…otherwise being so separated would have great affected our experience for the cruise. Based on the description, we thought we’d have a private car. We ended up being in a shared van and pickup was earlier than expected to accommodate picking up other passengers. This was ok but just not what we expected. We also thought it went until 1:30 but we arrived in Yangshuo around 12. Not sure why it was so much shorter than quoted Overall a great day, however, and would recommend this cruise. It would just be nice if the description and times were more accurate.★

A beautiful cruise, with a splendid view, comfortably admired from a brand new, comfortable ship, and a delicious lunch buffet served with fruit snacks and traditional sweets. The pick-up from our hotel was also punctual. An experience not to be missed. Excellent service, congratulations.★

The cruise was excellent! Of all the ones I found, this one had photos of the suggested meals by type. We took a taxi to Monpashan Pier for 40 yuan, got a ticket using a QR code, and then went into the building where you board the boat for a while. The tour guide explained everything in English; the main thing is to follow the crowd. The only thing is that, after leaving at 10:30, lunch was served at 12:30, and the view with the 20 yuan bill was already at 1:00 PM. They made some announcement, everyone dropped their food, and rushed to the upper deck, as it turned out, to take a photo of the bill against the backdrop of the landscape... Otherwise, it's an amazing 4-hour excursion for 3,550 rubles!!!★

I took the cruise with my mother who is 76. She loved the boat and the amazing views. There were a lot of noisy announcements that we didn’t prefer, and the food selection was limited but that wasn’t such a bother. We enjoyed tea and just chilling a bit.
