Ski resort introduction
Coronet peak ski area in queenstown, New Zealand, was established in 1947 as New Zealand's commercial ski field with deep industry heritage, consistently leading local skiing trends. It pioneered night skiing and offers New Zealand's longest skiing duration through the first tracks experience, maximizing the skiing thrill. The ski area boasts an excellent location, just a 25-min drive from queenstown's city center, ensuring convenient access. Daily skiing starts as early as 8 am, unlocking extended joyful skiing time on the South Island. With its main peak at 1,649 m, skiers can enjoy panoramic views of pristine lakes, towering mountains, and vast pastoral landscapes while carving through the slopes, combining natural beauty with skiing excitement. Spanning 280 hectares, the area features diverse terrain, and the 2020 upgrade introduced six comfortable cable cars for easier travel and skiing. Catering to all ages and skill levels, from avid skiers and professional teams to family-friendly visitors on leisure trips, everyone can find suitable routes, making it a must-visit classic ski destination in queenstown.
