Our first stop with the MS Lady Diletta was Amsterdam, a very beautiful city with its narrow streets and canals. A canal cruise is a must; it costs €14.50 per person and lasts an hour. You can also go up the Adam Tower and swing for €7.50 per person. Or you can visit Madame Tussauds; admission is €23.50 per person. Just across the way is the National Monument, a large square but nothing particularly special. Also recommended are the Van Gogh Museum and the Schreierstoren, an old defensive tower not far from the train station and harbor.

The Go City card is very practical and worthwhile if you plan to do a lot of activities, but you need to be well-organized. However, not all the activities are great!

James was excellent , a very informative and friendly guide. We enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam looking to learn more about the atrocities of WW2.
