The one-day tour of Mount Fuji was excellent. Our guide, Hiraki, was fluent in English, Japanese, and Mandarin, making communication seamless and providing meticulous care for everyone. Fantastic! I've been to Japan almost 20 times, and I realized I've never been to Mount Fuji. This time I had more time, so I dedicated a day to it. Summer isn't the best season for Mount Fuji, and it's crowded during summer vacation. Therefore, I arranged a day to hire a car to preview the nearby attractions, and if there are any I like, I'll focus on them next time.
Lake Kawaguchi is beautiful; I'd love to come back. Mount Fuji covered in snow in winter must be stunning.
My child doesn't like hot springs, so we didn't go to Hakone. Instead, we went shopping at an outlet mall, but it was incredibly crowded on the weekend.
The driver and I are from the same hometown, and we chatted happily about our hometowns the whole way.
I highly recommend hiring a car. It saves time, at least a whole day for visiting these attractions. The transportation costs for four people plus one night's accommodation are less expensive than hiring a car; you don't have to rush around, and you won't be tired after a long day.★
