Kotor Old Town Viewhas been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The entire old town is surrounded by walls approximately 4.5 km long. The stone walls rise from the seaside, zigzagging up the steep mountain to reach the Castle of San Giovanni at an altitude of about 280 m, forming a complete defensive system. The walls were first built in the 9th century and have been continuously expanded over the following ten centuries, with some sections reaching up to 20 m in height. The old town is accessed through three gates, including the Sea Gate. Upon entering, the first thing that catches the eye is the Place d'Armes, where a clock tower built in 1602 stands, slightly tilted due to multiple earthquakes. Walking deeper along the cobblestone alleys, you will pass the Flour Square, the Karampana Fountain, and several palaces of noble families. The Cathedral of Saint Tryphon is the core landmark of the old town, with its solemn and striking Romanesque twin-bell tower facade. The Maritime Museum next to the cathedral tells the history of navigation in the bay from the 9th century to World War II. About halfway up the climb along the walls, there is also the Church of Our Lady of Remedy, which serves as a viewpoint for a mid-climb rest. From the top of the Castle of San Giovanni, you can overlook the red roofs of the entire old town and the panoramic view of the Bay of Kotor.Kotor · 16.3km from Budva

Budva Old Town is a charming coastal gem that beautifully combines history, culture, and stunning Adriatic scenery. Surrounded by ancient stone walls, the old town is filled with narrow cobblestone streets, historic churches, cozy cafés, and picturesque squares. Walking through its medieval alleys feels like stepping back in time, while the nearby beaches and waterfront add a vibrant atmosphere. I loved exploring the hidden corners, enjoying the sea views, and experiencing the unique blend of old-world charm and modern energy. Whether you're interested in history, photography, or simply relaxing by the coast, Budva Old Town is well worth a visit.

The Bay of Kotor, which ranks first on the list of places to spend the summer in Biella, is the shining pearl of the Adriatic Sea! A beautiful bay that you can encounter for free, with a score of 4.7 and 38 reviews, is definitely popular~ The mountains on both sides of the bay are lush, and the towns on the shore are scattered. The sea water is clear and blue. Take a boat cruise or walk along the coast, feel the sea breeze, and see the snow-capped mountains and the blue sea in the distance blend together. The scenery is so beautiful that it is breathtaking. The romance and grandeur of Montenegro are fully displayed here. It is a bay feast that you must check in when you come to Montenegro~

The ancient city of Kotor is located in the Kotor Bay of the Adriatic Sea. It has the most complete ancient city walls in Europe. The ancient buildings are full of a heavy sense of history! Climb up the city wall and overlook the blue sea. The view is superb. There are also shuttle boats and scattered houses.
