The Kanas Scenic Area requires a bus transfer, which is very inconvenient for traveling with elderly people during peak season. Thankfully, we booked a direct bus in advance, making the trip worthwhile. The entire itinerary avoided crowds, and our driver, Kamu, took us to less crowded and more scenic spots – it was fantastic! Although we couldn't hike the Three Bays due to my elderly relative's knee problems, we still enjoyed the beautiful morning mist. The hiking trails along the old wooden bridge and the lakeside of Kanas Lake were flat and perfect for seniors, which they were very satisfied with. It was definitely worthwhile and an excellent choice for enhancing the experience.
