Shanghai Zoo

Recently, due to its hardcore style, Shanghai Zoo has been especially popular. I have never seen any zoo in Europe before where you can even set up your tent after seeing the animals. Looks like it is a great place to spend the whole day with family or friends whenever the weather is good. I few animals cannot be seen, but one could spent hours there even this way if u can tolerate the weather. I found snack is a bit expensive so make sure to bring ur own if wanna save a few rmb. #CampingGlamping

The Shanghai Zoo is a nice park with all kind of animals you are expecting to see in a good Zoo. And Pandas are there, too.

Entrance Fee: CNY 40 An adult can bring a child under 1.3 meters (4.2 feet) for free. Location: Hongqiao Road, Changning District, Shanghai We visited the Zoo during winter time sadly the panda are sleeping the whole time. The place is clean and organized worth your time to visit here, has a lots of animals that i have never seen before and has many activities for the kids and families, like feeding the animals. The place is huge i recommend you to rent the electric car if you want to check the whole place because walking is very tiring i think we paid 20rmb per person they will give you the ticket and you have to show to the driver every time you want to ride again and go to another side of the park. They also have a small stall shop in the corner where you can buy some snacks like hotdog sandwich and drinks. This is not a fair review, I am biased and love Shanghai Zoo. I visit around 4 times a year. Shanghai zoo is the perfect place to enjoy a weekend morning. Most of the animals are very well looked after. Some of the enclosures are a little old but you can see renovation projects taking place, such as the renovation of the big cat house. The lions perhaps look the unhappiest in the Zoo. However, most animals seem relatively happy and well looked after. There is a huge variety of animals and birds to see. The staff are serious and if present will tell visitors to behave. However, it would be nice to see more staff present to do this. The choice of snacks and foods inside is poor. I recommend eating outside. Metro Line 10 is directly outside so jump on the metro and head into downtown for food. Parking bikes is easy on most days outside the front gate. There are also some good rides, we enjoy taking the wheel to see the park from above. The admission to Shanghai zoo is 40rmb which is excellent value compared to other zoos in the west.

We visited Shanghai Zoo over Golden Week. I expected it to be full and overcrowded; however, it was not. The Zoo itself is quite massive and took a good few hours to walk around the entire park There are also golf carts if you aren’t up for the walk. There were many places to buy snacks and drinks as well as a restaurant. Children are also able to pet certain animals If you are in the city and looking for something to do with kids, then I would suggest the Zoo. It is also convenient to travel too as it is on the Metro line. You are also able to purchase tickets on their WeChat account before hand. I’d definitely recommend spending the day here

#zoo If you want to see animals in city center of Shanghai and also go for a picnic on the weekend, I would especially recommend Shanghai Zoo! There are many animals to watch here, including the national treasure giant panda, African animals, marine life, terrestrial life and more than 620 kinds. Children can also experience feeding small animals by themselves. There is a super large lawn in the zoo, which is a good place for picnics on weekends. There is also a big Ferris wheel next to the lawn! Taking photos there are really nice! Getting There - Line 10, the station is Shanghai Zoo and you will be right there. The ticket is 40RMB. Attractions - You can visit this big garden full of different animals. We paid 40 rmb for 2 adults and our daughter 🧑 got it for free because she is less than 1.3 M tall. We went through the fish, reptile and amphibians area and they had most of the popular animals that would be great to extend learning for children and enjoy as adults too. After that we were led to a shuttle 🛺that costs 15/person and again free for children. The trip toom us to the Panda🐼 enclosure and basically all the other animals from all over the world!🦁🐯🦝🐮🦓🐴🦎🐢🐊🐍🦬🐐🦌🦘🦥🦙🐘🦏🦒🦍🦧🐿️ My daughter enjoyed it especially when we can buy popsicles 🍡at every turn. There were also some rides🎢🎡🎠🎪 that you can enjoy while taking a break or benches🪑 to sit and relax and feel the fresh air 🌬️from the trees 🌳and plants surrounding the zoo.
