08:00 AM: Depart DublinWe met at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street (map link on our booking page). You'll board our comfortable Bus, meet your Guide and fellow travelers, then sit back and relax as we head west out of Dublin to our first stop. 08:30 AM: Hill of TaraA sacred site in ancient Ireland is the Hill of Tara, which will be our first port of call. As an important and historic location in the Boyne Valley region, it is in a sense the center of the country as the High Kings ruled Ireland from this location. From the mountain, one can see beautiful views of the surrounding area. It is said that a quarter of the Irish countryside can be seen from this hill. 10:00 AM: Trim CastleThere’s nothing more beautiful than seeing lush, picturesque landscapes on a drive through the Irish countryside. We headed to the town of Trim, which has an Standard Price and well-preserved Anglo-Norman castle. Trim Castle is the largest castle of its kind in Ireland. With a castle this well-preserved and stunningly beautiful, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one in Hollywood! You'll have time to explore the vast castle and grounds. This is a photo opportunity. Your Guide will provide you with information about the history of this charming castle and its surrounding area. 11:50 AM: Loughcrew Passage TombVisit Loughcrew, a community of megalithic tombs dating back to 3000 BC. Collectively known as Slieve na Galliagh, these hills and cemetery are the highest point in Co. Meath and offer spectacular views. Sit in the witch's chair and hear the wonderful history and mythology surrounding this area. This is a truly Standard Price location and unique experience. 3:00 PM: Fore AbbeyVisitors can visit the ruins of a Christian monastery founded by St. Fechin in the 7th century. It is believed that 300 monks lived in the community before his death. Later, the monastery was burned down 12 times. On the site, visitors can see the Church of St. Feixin, built around 900 AD. 6:15 PM: Return to DublinReturn to Dublin and tell all your friends about your adventures in the historic Boyne Valley!
