Europe's winter is dark early, it is dim at 4 pm, so it is very regrettable that we finally arrived at the Leaning Tower in Pisa, which is not conducive to taking pictures, and we can't take pictures of the design of the Leaning Tower with our hands. Other trips are very good.

We found the tour of the San Morettini family's oil mill very interesting. The processes and individual machines were explained to us in a clear and understandable way. There were also stations where we could get involved ourselves, such as identifying smells or playing a digital quiz. The final oil tasting was also exciting. The tour was entertaining and highly recommended.

We've known the family for 12 years and have seen it all unfold. So when we visit each year, it's always a warm greeting and an exchange of views on how everyone is doing. Silvia, Luigi, Pietro, and Corrado, along with Vittoria and everyone else, have built something wonderful. We're always treated to a delicious tasting of their wines, some of which we always have back home in the Netherlands. This year, we had another fantastic lunch. Adriano was incredibly helpful, not only explaining the wine but also introducing new balsamic vinegar creations alongside the olive oil varieties. The wine was delicious, and the food, with cheese, prosciuto, and pasta, was delicious, with dessert and espresso to boot. All of this took place in the garden, under a parasol on a sunny day, overlooking the old town of San Gimignano across the vineyards. This was exactly a week ago as I write this from home. The farewell is always emotional and heartfelt. Meanwhile, Pietro and Vittoria got married yesterday, and our wine and oil order will be delivered tomorrow. A top-notch company with lovely, hardworking people. I highly recommend a wine tasting (especially in the garden!) at La Marronaia to everyone!

Pietro was awesome! the entire experience was great and the staff were incredibly friendly and charming. A must experience if you are in the area and you enjoy wine.


