▲ Leaving Edinburgh, we head west, passing Stirling Castle, to the small town of Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond. In this charming 18th-century conservation village, sandstone cottages covered with creeping roses line the narrow cobbled shore. Take some time to wander around and admire the quaint houses and stunning views of the loch, with the iconic Ben Lomond mountain in sight.

▲ The scenery becomes more spectacular as we continue west, crossing the steep mountains known as the Arrochar Alps, stopping at a viewpoint called ‘Rest and Thanksgiving.' Gazing at the sweeping views, you'll understand the words carved into the stone by the soldiers who built the original road centuries ago.

▲ Arrive in Inveraray, an 18th-century town nestled on the vast shores of Loch Fyne, home to an old prison and a magnificent castle. Enjoy some free time to sample local cuisine and explore the town.

▲ Continue north and stop for photos at Kilchurn Castle, a majestic medieval castle that was abandoned in the 18th century but still captivates with its stunning view of Loch Awe.

▲ Travel through the Trossachs National Park, stopping at Loch Lubnaig to soak up the serenity of this peaceful haven in the heart of the Trossachs, with forested hills reflected in the glassy waters.

▲ The last stop is the famous Doune Castle, which was built more than 600 years ago and is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Scotland. It has appeared in films and TV series such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Outlander.
