The Colosseum, the greatest amphitheater of the Roman Empire and still the landmark of Rome. We visited in October where the sun set quite early. We arrived just before sunset and hence could only manage to walk from the outskirts. Next time we would join a guided tour. There are several sightseeing points around the Colosseum and it was a great walk around Rome where we ended in the Sciasia Caffe 1919 after an hour or so, a few streets from the Vatican. Sciasia Caffe 1919 Address: Via Fabio Massimo, n.80/a, 00192 Roma They have its unique blend of coffee and pastries are surprisingly good as well. No wonder it stands from 1919 till now. What a wonderful found!

The Colosseum is a giant Roman amphitheater in the city center of Rome. It is a huge oval building with a length of 189 meters. Its construction dates back to the era of the Roman Empire in the first century between the years 70 and 72 AD. The Colosseum is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering. Part of the Colosseum was destroyed by a violent earthquake in the Middle Ages. The name of the Roman amphitheater, the Colosseum, was given after the colossal statue of Nero that is located next to it I did many activities during my visit to the Colosseum In all my travels, as usual, I start wandering around the place to explore it. So I started walking around the Roman Colosseum building from the outside and watching its magnitude and splendor of its construction Really I was stunned 🙀😇, I said what a greatness. The greatness of the Roman Empire that was in those ancient times. Fortunately for me, it had only been a few weeks since the third and ground floors of the runway were opened, allowing tourists to enter and see the runway from above. So I was able to enjoy and watch this great historical landmark and take some souvenir photos from the top.
