- Please note: From July to September, Sveti Stefan Island may not allow stops due to traffic congestion; if you choose to take the cable car to the summit, the visit to Njeguši Village will be skipped.
Detailed itinerary
Morning cable car ride to the summit of Mount Lovćen
Departing from Kotor, take the cable car (weather permitting) or follow the century-old Austro-Hungarian trail to reach Lovćen National Park. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the magnificent Bay of Kotor—listed as "one of the world's most beautiful bays"—with its winding coastline and stunning mountain-sea scenery.
Traditional breakfast at Negushi Village in the morning
Arrive at the traditional mountain village of Njeguši, where 300-year-old stone houses and a simple way of life are preserved. Enjoy an authentic Montenegrin breakfast and savor a complimentary glass of Rakija—locally brewed fruit brandy—to experience the warm hospitality of Montenegro.
Noon at Mount Lovćen Summit & Njegoš Mausoleum
Hike up 461 stone steps to reach the summit of Mount Lovćen at 1,700 meters above sea level, and visit the magnificent mausoleum built in honor of the 19th-century poet and leader Petar II Petrović-Njegoš.
Outside the mausoleum stands a 4-meter-tall bronze statue weighing 29 tons, while the interior dome is adorned with over 200,000 gold leaf pieces, radiating a golden glow and exuding solemn grandeur. From this vantage point, visitors can take in the majestic landscapes of Montenegro, and on clear days, even glimpse the Italian coastline in the distance, making it an excellent photography spot.
Afternoon Cultural Stroll in the Ancient Capital of Cetinje
Head to Cetinje, the historical and cultural center of Montenegro, once the royal capital established in the 15th century. Explore with a guide:

Afternoon: Korbava River & Boat Tour
Pass by the "Pavlovastran" viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Balkan Peninsula extending to the great Lake Skadar. Arrive at the Krbava River by the lakeside to enjoy a tranquil riverside lunch featuring local specialties.
After the meal, embark on a boat tour along the river, weaving through reeds and water lilies while observing abundant birdlife such as egrets and cormorants, immersing yourself in the wild charm of nature. This area is the core ecological zone of Lake Skadar National Park, hailed as the "Lungs of the Balkans."
Evening photo stop at Sveti Stefan Island
Head to Montenegro's most iconic landmark—Sveti Stefan. This rocky island, originally a fishing village, has been transformed into a luxury resort. We'll make a brief stop here to capture panoramic views under the sunset.
