Private Round-Trip Transfer to Qinghai Lake from Xining City Hotel
Itinerary: Laji Mountain—Riyue Mountains (Sun and Moon Mountains)—Qinghai Lake
Laji Mountain
Laji Mountain is renowned for its diverse natural landscapes. The vegetation here exhibits distinct vertical zoning, encompassing alpine meadows, wetlands, shrubs, and mid-mountain forests. The climate is highly variable, allowing visitors to experience rain, snow, fog, mist, clouds, and sunshine—all within a single day.
Laji Mountain is celebrated for its "Four Spectacular Sceneries": sunrise, sea of clouds, starlit skies, and snowscapes. The mountain passes range in elevation from 3,820 to 4,180 meters, making it the highest mountain range in the Xining tourism circuit.
Riyue Mountain
Riyue Mountain is located about 40 kilometers southwest of Huangyuan County in Qinghai Province. It belongs to the Qilian Mountain Range, with an average elevation of around 4,000 meters. Its highest peak, Mount Aledawan, reaches 4,877 meters above sea level.
This mountain serves as a significant natural geographical divide in China, separating exorheic and endorheic basins, monsoon and non-monsoon zones, as well as the Loess Plateau and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
Qinghai Lake
Qinghai Lake, located in Qinghai Province, China, is known in Tibetan as "Tso Ngonpo," meaning "Blue Sea." It is China's largest inland and saltwater lake, resembling a massive sapphire inlaid on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The lake is expansive as an ocean. Its water sources primarily rely on surface runoff and precipitation, supplemented by over dozens of rivers, including the Buha River. Nestled among high mountains, Qinghai Lake presents a breathtaking spectacle where the water and sky merge into one. The lake is also home to famous islands such as Bird Island (Egg Island and Haixipi) and Sea Heart Mountain, which serve as habitats for numerous migratory birds.
