I purchased a Eurail pass because it is cheaper than buying individual tickets, especially when I have to take long-distance train journeys multiple times. Furthermore, with delays on European trains—particularly long-distance ones—being severe these days, even if you have reserved a seat, you may find yourself having to take different trains along the way. In such situations, the unrestricted Eurail pass has been a great help.★

Fantastic day going to Sorreno, limoncello tasting then Pompeii. Sorrento was the best bit, with cute little streets. Our coach was comfortable. Made a pit stop on the way there and on the way back. Our guide, Giovanni was excellent, was always on hand to answer questions, not only about Pompeii & Sorrento, but also about Rome, Italy, other places to visit. We felt very well looked after. Lunch was cheap and cheerful (for only €15 what more can you expect?). Our Pompeii guide, Francesco was also fantastic and funny. Highly recommend this trip.
