The transportation and ticketing process for Machu Picchu is quite complicated. Since it was the Thanksgiving holiday, I decided to use Ctrip, and it was definitely the right choice. Communication was smooth throughout, and everything went well throughout the day. The Chinese customer service was always online, and the guide who gave us a private tour was very professional. The ticket included a panoramic view of Circuito 1, making it a very good experience.★

We are older and slower so we did a private tour. Our guide was very sweet and kind, as well as knowledgeable about the history of the Inca people and Machu Pichu. Without him, I don't believe that I would have made it to enjoy this magical place!
It was definitely worth the 2 hour car ride, 1.5 hour train ride, 25 minute bus ride up to the gate and the painstaking climb up the ancient stone steps that bring you to the place where you can look down to the ancient city.
