Kota Kinabalu Kawa-Kawa River Cruise: Proboscis Monkey and Firefly Tour (Including Afternoon Tea and Dinner) The trip went very smoothly! Pick-up and drop-off were punctual, and the itinerary was well-organized. Afternoon tea and dinner were delicious, especially the local specialties, which left a lasting impression. The most unforgettable experience was seeing the proboscis monkeys on the riverbank; they were lively, fun, and incredibly cute. The fireflies at night were breathtaking—the entire forest seemed to be lit up by stars, a dreamlike and magical experience! The guide was also very professional and friendly, providing engaging explanations and patiently answering our questions. Overall, it was a journey full of surprises, and I highly recommend it! It will definitely be an unforgettable memory. Kota Kinabalu Kawa-Kawa River Cruise: Everything on this tour went smoothly! The transfer was punctual, and the itinerary was well-organized. The hi-tea and dinner provided were delicious, especially the local flavors which left a deep impression. The highlight was definitely seeing the proboscis monkeys along the river—they were active, playful, and adorable. And the fireflies at night were absolutely breathtaking! The trees glittered like starlight, creating a magical and enchanting atmosphere. Our guide was also excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to answer our questions. The tour guide was incredibly professional and attentive. There were only two of us, and he took photos of us at every attraction – they were even better than the photos we took ourselves! We loved it! 😍 He introduced the sights and even recommended some local seafood at the end. We were extremely satisfied! Five stars! Highly recommended! 👍🏻

I think this is a very worthwhile part of Kota Kinabalu; the fireflies are beautiful, and the tour guide is excellent. Aside from the slightly bumpy ride on the main road, there are no other downsides.

A truly wonderful trip! We were blessed with great weather and a fantastic guide, Chenchen, whose Chinese is excellent and who was incredibly enthusiastic! The snorkeling instructors were all fun and responsible! They even created underwater bubbles for us to film! When we saw turtles and clownfish, they proactively took out their phones to record them for us! Just a heads-up, please confirm with your guide at check-in which island you're going to for snorkeling or scuba diving. Two guests got it wrong today, so it's also a good idea to contact XC beforehand to confirm. Oh, and my phone didn't have Wi-Fi on any of the three islands, so please let your important friends know before you go!

We saw two types of monkeys and a large crocodile. We also saw a lot of fireflies, which was fantastic. Above all, the sunset was amazing. It was the best I've ever seen. The boat tour was a really great experience! The car ride was 2.5 hours each way, and it was quite shaky and painful. That was the only negative point. Overall, I would recommend this trip to others.

Overall, it was great, deserving full marks. The price was excellent, and a day trip for just over 300 yuan was incredibly worthwhile. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were hassle-free, and the speedboat was relatively smooth, preventing seasickness. Upon arriving on the island, I was amazed by the fine white sand and crystal-clear water. Snorkeling revealed a plethora of tropical fish and corals, and there were also free Instagram-worthy activities and bubble parties.
