◆ Eligibility for purchasing tickets:

• JR PASS is only available to tourists visiting Japan for sightseeing purposes. To purchase this week's pass, you must hold a passport issued by a government outside of Japan and a "short-stay" visa.
• Short-stay visas: tourist visas, business visas, three-year multiple-entry tourist visas, etc.

◆ Refund after redemption

• Refund locations: Only at the issuing or exchange points of the rail pass. For passes that have been exchanged but not used and are still valid, refunds can only be processed at the relevant counters in Japan.
• Refund amount: The refund amount minus the handling fee (10% of the amount: Each rail pass must cost at least 220 yen.)
• Railway passes that have already been used or expired are non-refundable.
• Tickets cannot be refunded in cases where the train is unable to run or is delayed.
