A visit to the Shenyang Imperial Palace Scenic Area takes approximately 2 hours. The Shenyang Imperial Palace is a World Heritage Site and one of the two most complete ancient palace complexes in China. The Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum was built and used as a royal palace in the early Qing Dynasty, beginning in 1625 (the fifth year of the Tianqi reign of the Ming Dynasty, the tenth year of the Tianming reign of the Later Jin Dynasty). Covering an area of over 60,000 square meters, the Shenyang Imperial Palace has 114 ancient buildings and more than 500 rooms, all well-preserved to this day, making it an ancient site rich in historical and cultural significance. The Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum, built on the palace site, is a renowned museum of ancient court art, with a very rich collection of court artifacts.
