<h1>Oshiro Linghartaiji Temple</h1><p>Wat Phra Mahathat is located in Nakhon Si Thammarat, please note that it is different from Wat Mahathat in Ayutthaya. There is no Big Buddha inside, so I don’t know why the Japanese translated it as Big Buddha Temple. Wat Mahathat is as famous as the Three Kings Temple. It is one of the most famous temples and is also a temple site full of prosperity and decline. It was built in the 14th century during the reign of Borom Rachathirat I 1370-1388. The main pagoda in the middle of the ruins group was once as high as 44 meters. It was one of the earliest Khmer-style pagodas built in Ayutthaya. It was later destroyed in the war. Now only the base and other relics at the bottom remain. Some more complete pagodas surround it. All around. Traces of stucco decoration at that time can be vaguely seen from the surrounding pagodas. The central pagoda collapsed in 1911, and in 1956 a Buddha statue and numerous gems were discovered in the basement, which are now stored in the National Museum. It is located in the center of the ancient holy city. Walking into the temple is more like walking into a large forest, which makes the hot weather suddenly become much cooler. The famous Buddha head surrounded by tentacle-like banyan tree roots is also here. Because the temple is surrounded and eroded by forest, the head of a Buddha statue is entangled among the swirling tree roots. This phenomenon of the entanglement of the sacred image with nature is an extremely lucky sign in Thai Buddhism, and this Buddha statue has become the most visited Buddha statue in the temple. Therefore, this site often receives donations from donors. There are also moss-covered pagoda bases, headless Buddha statues, and the ruins destroyed by the Burmese army are heartbreaking. Banyan Tree Wrapped Buddha’s Head: The famous banyan tree wrapped Buddha’s head in Ayutthaya is located here. A Buddha's head is wrapped in the roots of a tree, as if it has grown out of the tree and has become one with the tree. If you want to take a photo, you must squat down because your head cannot exceed the Buddha's head.</p><p></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><h1>Ayutthaya Palace Ruins</h1><p>Grand Palace Ayutthaya Palace Ruins Ancient Palace Wang Luang Old Palace Ruins This is the center of the newly established Ayutthaya dynasty during the reign of King Utong, the ruler of Lopburi, in the north of Ayutthaya. Located on the north side of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, they are close to each other now but were integrated back then. To the west of Wat Thammikarat. Construction of the palace began in 1350, and was later extended northward on the basis of the palace built by King Paolo Matrockana in the mid-15th century. Later kings built a large number of palaces, pavilions and pavilions in the palace. What is sad is that under the invasion of the Burmese in 1767, the palace was severely damaged. Now there are almost no buildings left, and only the completely destroyed ruins of the Ayutthaya Palace can be seen. The most well-preserved building in the old palace is the Trimuk Pavilion, which was rebuilt on the original site during the period of King Chulalongkorn, also known as Rama V.</p><p></p><p><br></p><h1>Chaiwatthanaram Temple</h1><p>The temple closest to Angkor style in Ayutthaya was built in the 17th century and restored in the 1980s.
