Reviews: 3-hour wilderness cruise around Tasman Island, Tasmania [optional Port Arthur/Tasmania Devil Zoo]

It was a foreign tour group, and the entire tour was conducted in English. The cruise was spectacular; we saw unique landforms, seals, and the biggest surprise was seeing many dolphins. Brunch was simple: coffee and bread. Lunch was sandwiches. We also visited the Port Arthur historical site to see the prison. The environment inside was excellent and very beautiful, just be careful as there was a lot of what looked like kangaroo droppings on the ground. Although we left very early in the morning, we returned early as well, so we weren't too tired.

This tour was so good, Jody our tour guide and driver was amazing, I feel she went out of her way to give us all an interesting and informative day, her knowledge of the island was extensive and her genuine love for the area was obvious. The sights along the way were breathtaking and Port Arthur itself was such an interesting and informative part of a dark history retold respectfully and in such a beautiful setting. I would definitely go on another tour with this company and as an added bonus I was lucky enough to connect with such wonderful fellow travelers and had a really memorable day. Thankyou 🤗

As a whole the day was excellent, action packed, lots to see/do. Two concerns: 1) we had only 30 minutes for waterfall bay hike which is NOT enough! was very rushed for most of us, giving no time to enjoy beautiful views. 1 hour should be provided for walk so people can be comfortable/ enjoy. Several of us agreed & weren't happy w/ speed. 2) While our guide Ian was interesting, knowledgeable storyteller he was like a drill sergeant which made us feel very rushed. the Bruny island tour the previous day with Mark our guide kept us on schedule with more Pleasant demeanor. Some of us visited Tasmanian devil unzoo which was excellent! Those that went to unzoo had only 3 hours at Port Arthur which is NOT enough if you want to read information provided vs just walking fast pace. We made several 10 minute stops such as chocolate, honey tasting, outlooks, etc. but they were all too rushed. The trip would be more enjoyable if you eliminated 1-2 stops to give more time to the others.

PHILLIP!! You're a star. Loved the drive - your knowledge and cadence made for an entertaining and relaxing drive to what is an amazing historical site. Highly recommend the tour and the add on of Isle of the Dead. Thanks for a fab day.
