A superb day spent with Dave, who adapted perfectly to the changing weather conditions and always had a way of making us laugh. The scenery was simply magnificent; time flew by. We highly recommend this excursion!
Reviews: From Edinburgh: Stirling Castle, Kelpies and Loch Lomond

Great value for the money—we saw so many incredible places in one day. Our guide was excellent and kept us entertained the entire time with good stories, interesting information, and even great music along the way. He went above and beyond, including showing us two different views of the bridges, which was a nice bonus. Everyone in our group had a different favorite stop. One person loved the Kelpies, two said Stirling Castle, and my personal favorite was Loch Lomond. The only real downside was the cold. We knew going in January that it would be cold and that's out of anyone's control. But we were disappointed we didn't get to see the Highland coos because the road was not drivable. However, the snow was beautiful and turned a cold January day into a magical winter wonderland. We even had a snowball fight and built little snowmen, which made the day extra fun and memorable. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended if you’re prepared for winter weather.

Due to adverse weather conditions, we didn't visit the interior of Doune Castle, but we did head to the ruins of Kilchurn Castle. Despite this change of plans, it was magical! There was a nice snowfall, and on the way to see the castle from the outside, we even saw the famous Scottish cows—all in an almost fairy-tale atmosphere. We then continued our itinerary towards the West Highlands, reaching Inveraray with a stop at Loch Lomond. Our guide, Shae, was exceptional in accompanying us to the various sites and sharing historical facts, curiosities, and various aspects of the land she loves so much. It's an experience worth repeating, although I'd point out that you only actually see Doune Castle (in our case, not even because of the snow) and a few other photo spots, while many things (Kilchurn Castle itself) are marked but only visible from the car—despite the descriptions of them as stops!
