After departing from Sovereign Hill at 14:30 following the gold mining town activities, we will head to Lake Wendouree. This large lake in Ballarat features a scenic lakeside trail perfect for walking and cycling, making it a popular relaxation spot for locals and their families. Along the shore, you'll have the chance to spot numerous black swans. Adjacent to the lake lies the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, established in 1857 as one of Victoria's oldest inland botanical gardens. Spanning 40 hectares, it comprises four distinct areas: the central garden section, open garden spaces at the northern and southern ends, and the Lake Wendouree precinct, all flourishing with diverse plant life and seasonal blooms throughout the year.
