WAT MAHATHAT
Wat Mahathat is one of the most representative temples in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The iconic Buddha head entwined in tree roots captivates visitors with its breathtaking sight! Standing at the heart of the ancient capital Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, this vast complex was originally built by the Thai royal family as a meditation center for the Kamavasi Buddhist sect.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram
Wat Chaiwatthanaram, also known as the Royal Consort Temple and locally referred to as Thailand's version of Angkor Wat, is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of the most complete Buddhist temples in central Thailand and among the most magnificent and beautiful temples in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.
Temple Visiting Guidelines
1. Do not wear shorts, sleeveless tops, crop tops, ripped jeans, shark pants, or skirts above the calf when entering temples. Clothing must cover the knees.
Skirts or mid-length shorts, with sleeved tops and modest necklines.
2. Some temples require removing shoes before entering (due to Thailand's hot climate, outdoor floors can get very warm - we recommend bringing socks in advance);
3. Respect and yield to monks. Women should not make physical contact with monks. If you wish to make an offering, ask a male to assist or place it on a table for the monks.
Self-pickup;
Do not step on or touch temple items with your feet. Always step over temple thresholds rather than stepping on them.
5. For souvenir photos, you may use the wai gesture or pose properly; avoid inappropriate gestures like making a peace sign.
