Porto Moniz is unforgettable! Swimming outdoors in January! Wonderful! For a small fee, you can access this natural pool, so bring your swimsuit.

Fantastic excursion! Benjamin was a top-notch guide who knew so much about the island. We especially appreciated how he adapted the route to the weather conditions. The stop at the laurel forest was literally rained out – storm, fog, and mud – but nobody could do anything about that. Highly recommended!

What an incredible experience. We had great communications from the team in the run up to the trip. We were picked up on time and in comfortable transport. Ricardo was really welcoming and pleasant. On the journey up we had a huge amount of information and history shared with us all by him and he was happy to answer any questions from our excellent little group of strangers who became friends! The dinner stop was outstanding. So quaint and personal with delicious food and plenty to drink, and also a historical spot to stop at. We were in the clouds at this point and wondered if we may not get a sunset. Yet 600m later we came through the clouds to the most magnificent scene, clouds surrounding the most incredible landscape. Breathtaking. Once on top it just got better and at no point would you tire of it. The sunset was out of this world, with the feeling of being on top of the world as well as surrounded by peace and tranquility. The colours were amazing and it is a hard experience to equal. The journey down offered further opportunity to enjoy the scene before returning to the trees and clouds then finally the coast. I cannot recommend it enough, an absolute bargain at the price and an unforgettable experience with a great guide. Must do in Madeira!

The guide and driver were wonderful, so friendly and full of information and enthusiasm. The views were spectacular. I had been a bit worried as I’m not a huge fan of heights but there were railings provided and the climb was definitely worth it!

Interesting trip to the North East part of Madeira. I would drop the stop at Machico and reduce to 45 minutes the stop at Ribeiro Frio and have more time at Pico do Areeiro and Sao Lourenco.


