Reviews: Explore Munnar Day Trip From Cochin ( By Munnar Info)
Guest User2025-12-01
We were lucky enough to enjoy a 4.5-hour hike with our guide above Munnar, through the tea plantations, reaching an altitude of 1800 meters. The view of the plantations was superb at the beginning of the trek. Unfortunately, the fog prevented us from fully appreciating the scenery once we were on the peaks. Our guide was particularly pleasant and friendly. He provided us with a wealth of information about the history of Munnar, tea cultivation, the lives of the workers, and the plants we saw along the way. A truly wonderful outing.

An amazing day with Ganesh, our driver and guide. Ganesh collected us punctually from our hotel, efficiently did an introduction and gave us bottles of water before running through the iternary of the day. The views were amazing as we went up into the hills. We had some great photo opportunities along the route. Madupatty Dam Lake was wonderful, loved the speed boat ride! Echo point was tranquil especially as we hired a boat! At no point did Ganesh rush us, which was wonderful and made my day with my son extra special. We visited Kundala Lake, again a serene experience before driving up to Top Station......this is a joyful place. My son and I walked and talked as we enjoyed the tea plantation. Next stop was KFDC Floriculture Centre with its variety of colour and well displayed plants. Ganesh drove us for a delightful vegetarian lunch, a restaurant with a fast turn around with locals! The tea museum was the last part of the day. I felt by organising the day well, Ganesh ensured we missed the busier times at the lakes. Thank you, Ganesh for a splendid day.
Reviews: Munnar: Tea trail, Tea Factory, and Tea Tasting Tour

The tea factory was very interesting. I never knew the tea-making process involved so many steps. And the plantations are beautiful. Our guide, King Raja, knew everything about it. He grew up with it; his family has worked in the tea industry for five generations. Very educational and interesting.

We took amazing adventures tours cab, we visited some view points, mattepettu dam, I would say it is must visit, do not miss the speed boat ride, amazing view which we can’t cover otherwise. Big big No to any spice garden, you can visit but don’t buy from them as they will charge more from customers and give 30 percent cut to the driver. Elephant ride, your cab driver gets cut.
Reviews: Mountain Hiking in Munnar (half day) By Munnar Info

This walking experience was perfect. The walk wasn't too strenuous and went through the beautiful tea plantations around Letchmi tea estate. It was so beautiful and around 8 km in total. The guide JK was great, very knowledgeable and funny. We had a wonderful time on this trek and highly recommend.
