Great communication right from booking with this company, including details of our driver name and jeep number plate a few days before our trip. We were collected from our hotel on time and after a short drive arrived at the entrance to the National Park. Samira (our driver) organised entrance to the park and we set off. He was extremely knowledgeable, not only about the elephants but also other wildlife we saw. We saw lots of elephants, the first few within minutes of entering the park and were able to get quite close to some of them in the truck. It was amazing to see so many in their natural habitat, we even saw a baby elephant who Samira told us was about a year old. Samira kept stopping to point out other wildlife too, we saw chameleon, a king fisher, a bee catcher, some peacocks, a Jungle fowl (the national bird of Sri Lanka) and could hear brown headed Berbets all around the jungle area. On the way home we were really lucky to drive alongside a bull elephant who was walking on the side of the road before he crossed over. We also stopped by a lake where saw many different birds while eating some water melon provided by Samira before he dropped us back at our hotel. It was an amazing trip, worth every penny and I would absolutely recommend others to book this one.
